Jo Sarzotti's first book of poetry is Mother Desert, a lyrical masterwork rife with desolation, horses, and intimacy. Even from the first two poems, it's pretty clear why this book won the Katharine Bakeless Nason Prize for poetry in 2011. Jo says she's grateful; well, we're grateful to have her on the show. Join us as we discuss her craft and what drew her to the subjects in her collection.
