Graduate Programs

Master of Arts in TESL
Designed for both native and non-native speakers of English, the degree prepares candidates for employment in teaching in U.S and international contexts and in program administration as well as preparation for doctoral study.

Graduate Certificate
Prepares candidates for careers in teaching English as a second or foreign language to adult learners in U.S. and international contexts.

Additional Licensure in ESL
Teachers with an initial Minnesota teaching license can add K-12 ESL licensure to their credentials.

Undergraduate Programs

TESL Licensure Minor
Prepares students to teach English as a second language to K-12 students in U.S. public schools. An ESL license must be combined with another licensure field.

TESL Non-Licensure Minor
Prepares students to teach English as a second language or foreign language in situations where licensure is not required such as Peace Corps schools abroad.

Linguistics Minor
A minor for students interested in learning about how language works and how it is used.

International Students

International students can enjoy the same tuition price as U.S. students through the Cultural Contribution Scholarship. You will have the opportunity to learn with other international students as well as with students from the U.S.
