Communication & Composition — Master of Science

A multi-disciplinary program designed for individuals with an interest inteaching both communication (public speaking, interpersonal, small group, forensics) AND composition at community colleges and technical colleges. Students are encouraged to contact the appropriate state agency and confirm the number of credit hours required for certification to teach at a technical or community college in their state.

Advisor and Capstone Committte

Two-member committee—an advisor from the department in which capstone is conducted and a second member from the other department.

Retention Requirements

Graduate students must maintain a scholastic standing of 3.0 GPA or higher in overall graduate studies.

NFL Limitations

A maximum of six (6) graduate credits from “NFL” courses may be applied toward satisfactory completion of the C&C masters. The limit may be waived with consent of a student’s graduate advisor.
