Undergraduate Students
Candidates for undergraduate membership must meet all of the following criteria:
- Students must be currently enrolled at Minnesota State University, Mankato
- Students must be majoring or minoring in English (any emphasis)
- Students must have taken at least two college courses in English beyond first-year requirements
- Students must have a minimum of a 3.0 average in English
- Students must rank in the highest 35 percent of their class overall (cumulative scholastic record)
- Students must have completed at least three semesters of college work
Graduate Students
Candidates for graduate membership must meet all of the following criteria:
- Students must be enrolled in a graduate program in English at Minnesota State University, Mankato
- Students must have completed six semester hours of graduate work
- Students must have a minimum of a 3.3 average in English
Application Process
For those applicants who meet the above criteria and submit an application for membership, the one-time initiation fee is $50. There are no annual dues. Please do not submit the $50 initiation fee until contacted by the Sigma Tau Delta advisers.
