Founded in 1922, Sigma Tau Delta has over 750 active chapters and functions at the international level, sponsoring publications, programs, and events of value to the profession and teaching of language and literature.
Sigma Tau Delta's central purpose is to confer distinction upon students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies. Sigma Tau Delta also recognizes the accomplishments of professional writers who have contributed to the fields of language and literature.
The Chi Iota Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, The International English Honor Society, would like to encourage all interested students to be a part of our growing organization.
