Composition Merit Awards Contest

Student enrolled during 2007-2008 academic year in English 100 or English 101 may submit papers to the Composition Merit Awards contest. Prizes will be awarded to the top three essays, with top prize of $200. The journal publishes online the top essays submitted by English 100 and 101 students.   Any essay that was submitted as a major course assignment is eligible.

Application Procedure

To be considered, teachers or students must submit:

• A clean copy of the paper
• The following information on a cover sheet:
  • Student's name
  • Essay Title
  • Instructor's Name
  • Date
  • Preferred email address

Hand deliver or mail applications to:

Applicants may apply for all English awards for which they qualify.
